Baking With Maple Syrup

Baking With Maple Syrup

Pure maple syrup is a more nutritious option than many other sweeteners. Because it is unrefined, it retains the nutrients found in maple tree sap.

To use Tree Juice Maple Syrup™ in baking, replace 1 cup of sugar with 3/4 cup of maple syrup and reduce the other liquids by 3 tablespoons for every cup of maple syrup used. This replacement may cause your baked goods to darken from the brown color of the syrup.

Also, maple syrup is not as sweet as white sugar so your final result may taste slightly less sweet than when using traditional, processed sugar. But the maple flavor could add some dimension to the taste and will be healthier for you too!
